Your Newborn's First Office Visit
The excitement continues, fatigue is present, and at this time your newborn is adjusting and transitioning to being at home. You first newborn visit occurs 2-3 days after leaving the hospital. During this visit we will address feeding, safety, routine newborn care, family support and sibling relationships. Your baby may have received the first Hepatitis B vaccine in the hospital, if not we will administer it at this visit. Your next visit will be at 1 month of age.
- Your baby should be in a rear facing car safety seat until age 2 years old unless the length and weight limits have been outgrown to remain rear facing.
- Your baby should be placed on his back to sleep with no loose blankets or bedding.
- Please call the office to schedule your baby's 1 month check up.
